Permanent eyeliner can last 1–3 years depending on skin type, pigment selection, sun exposure, and lifestyle. Individual fading varies; most clients schedule a color-refresh every 12–24 months to maintain crisp, vivid lines.

We use topical numbing before and during the procedure to minimize discomfort. Most clients report mild pressure or tugging rather than sharp pain. Sensitivity varies; any tenderness typically subsides within a day or two.

Initial redness and slight swelling usually resolve within 24–72 hours. Light scabbing or flaking occurs in the first week; pigment softens as skin heals. Full healed results appear around four to six weeks when touch-up needs are assessed.

Avoid eye makeup, mascara, and water exposure during initial healing—typically 7–10 days. Applying makeup too soon risks infection, pigment loss, or blurred lines. Follow your artist’s specific aftercare instructions for best results.

Ideal candidates want defined eyes with less daily makeup time, have normal healing, and realistic expectations. Not recommended for those with active eye infections, uncontrolled medical conditions, pregnancy, or certain autoimmune issues without medical clearance.

Keep the area clean and dry, apply the recommended ointment, avoid rubbing, saunas, pools, and eye makeup for at least 7–10 days. Protect from sun and attend your follow-up appointment for assessment and any needed touch-ups.
